MISSOULA – The Missoula City Band announces its summer series for 2019. Concerts are on Wednesday’s at the Bonner Park Band Shell from June 19 through August 14 at 8 p.m.

KALISPELL – Glacier Community Garden has plots available so you can grow your own fresh, organic vegetables. Growing in a community garden has the added benefit of visiting with other gardeners, both experienced or beginning. More info: (406) 250-2146.

MISSOULA – All women and daughters — eight years and older — are invited to the Women’s Health Club in Missoula to celebrate their Mother’s Day event. Enjoy dance, fusion, yoga, water aerobics and more between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on May 11. Click here for more information.

MISSOULA – Support the national representatives of Missoula’s high school’s speech and debate groups as they head to Dallas. A showcase dinner will be held on May 11 at Sentinel High School cafeteria from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. A spaghetti dinner will be served with auction items and baskets available for bidding.

BIGFORK – The Bigfork Boy Scout Troop 1923 and Bigfork VFW Post 4042 will jointly hold a Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast on May 12 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. across from Harvest Foods. AREAWIDE – U.S. Postal Service employees, and the National Association of Letter Carriers will conduct its 27th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 11. Stamp Out Hunger is the nation’s largest single-day food drive. Customers should leave their non-perishable food donations in a bag near their mailbox on Saturday.

MISSOULA – Mountain Home and Runner’s Edge will host “Run Like a Mother – Missoula” — an all women’s 5K Fun Run on May 12 in front of the Boone and Crockett Club. Click here for more information.

KALISPELL – Flathead Valley Community College will honor its current class of 16 Registered Nursing graduates during a traditional pinning ceremony on May 17 at 2 p.m. in the large community room inside the Arts and Technology Building on campus. FVCC’s spring commencement ceremony will then be held at 6 p.m.

KALISPELL – The 8th annual Armed Forces Day Benefit dinner will be on May 18 at the Best Western Plus in Kalispell. Tickets are $35 per person, and will only be sold in advance of the event. To purchase your tickets, call (406) 756-7304, or pick them up at the Veterans Food Pantry.

MISSOULA – May 18-25 is National EMS Week. To celebrate, Southgate Mall is hosting an EMS Fair to members of the community can get to know and thank our local emergency services personnel and get valuable safety advice to kick off the summer season. The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 25 at the Southgate Mall.

COLUMBIA FALLS – The Glacier Institute has recently purchased the former Whitefish Credit Union building at 320 Nucleus Ave in Columbia Falls. A public ribbon cutting will be celebrated on May 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 pm. Live music and refreshments will be provided.

HAMILTON – The Bear Aware educational trailer is coming to Hamilton on May 23 for an open house event. The Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor’s Office in Hamilton will be hosting the open house to provide bear awareness information to attendees. For more information call (406) 363-7100.

PLAINS – Benefiting the Wild Horse Sports Association, the 4th annual Plains Wild Horse 3 on 3 will be held on June 1 at the Admundson Sports Complex in Plains. The deadline to register is May 27. Click here to register online.
