FRENCHTOWN — We headed over to Frenchtown High School for a very special event for this Arts and Education report.
This past Monday marked Veterans Day with ceremonies going on across the community, including one in Frenchtown.
The students, veterans and Frenchtown community members packed the gym to honor whose who serve, and many of the Frenchtown students used the artistic skills they learned in school to make this day special.
“Our family consumer science group baked 20 pies, we have our choir that will be singing through the entire program. We also have our band that will be doing a couple sings as well,” said Frenchtown High School Intermediate Principal.
Now whether it was the choir singing -- or the band playing -- the music coming from both these groups made this day extra special and it also gave the students a memory and lesson they could take with them even after they graduate.
