MISSOULA — A Missoula Facebook group is helping us all let out a little steam and show support for health care workers and others who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Facebook page Howl for Missoula is asking people to go out on your front porch or front yard every night at 8:00 and just cheer and yell. It's been something other cities are embracing to vocalize that we are not alone even as we're apart.

“Support of health care workers, essential front line workers, and just neighbors who are sheltering in place and who may be struggling and stuff like that -- and are just going out and not just howling and shouting in support of them so they know they're not alone,” organizer Amy Crider said.

It's an idea that has people excited. The group already has almost 1000 members.
