One Class at a Time: Big Sky High School

MISSOULA – Big Sky High School art teacher Christine South is this week’s Republic Services and KPAX-TV’s One Class at a Time winner.

KPAX-TV General Manager Bob Hermes awarded South with a $250 check, which will be used for modeling clay for her Intro to Art students.

South says it’s important for her students to learn how to work with eachother in small groups. She adds that learning the foundation of skill building and project completion will help her students throughout the semester and beyond.

“There’s a heavy emphasis on understanding the foundation of design and how that can carry over in a lot of different design fields, so they really get a strong foundation in that. Beyond that, art learning is usually more the collaboration that I think comes from it.”
