MISSOULA — Meadow Hill Middle School librarians Shawn Schweyen and Peggy Racicot are this week’s winners of a KPAX-TV and Republic Services One Class at a Time grant.

They received a check for $250 which will go toward increasing technology that has become more necessary than ever as students have navigated a hybrid schedule.

New light-weight document cameras, Bluetooth speakers, and microphones will help beef up the technology, and will go a long way in helping support teachers and staff.

“As librarians, we kind of wear different hats and one of the hats that we wear is a media specialist, and in our library during COVID right now everybody needs it. A lot of extra technology is needed for teachers," Schweyen said.
