KPAX-TV is, once again, teaming up with Republic Services in sponsoring a One Class at a Time Grant to a deserving educator each week throughout the school year.
The first winner is Meadow Hill Middle School Yearbook Coordinator, Tamara McDermott.
KPAX-TV General Manager, Bob Hermes and Republic Services Manager, Chad Bauer awarded McDermott with a $250 check which will go toward a second camera for her staff.
Comprised of ten eighth grade students, the staff has been limited by what they can shoot after one of their two cameras broke.
McDermott said purchasing another Sony Digital camera, like the one they currently have, will enable them to better cover all that is happening over the course of the school year.
If you are a teacher and looking for a little cash infusion, you can apply for a One Class At A Time grant by going to kpax.com. Or you can mail the form to the KPAX studio at 1049 West Central Avenue in Missoula.
