Arlee fire close to containment

ARLEE – Fire crews are making significant progress containing a lightning-caused fire northwest of Arlee.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Division of Fire reports that the Arlee Northwest fire is about 24 acres and was about 80% contained as of noon Wednesday.

The blaze is located about 2½ miles northwest of Arlee, on the Flathead Indian Reservation off of Saddle Back Mountain Road

The blaze is burning in grass and timber. No structures are threatened by this fire.
