MISSOULA – The number of pertussis cases in the Missoula area jumped again on Wednesday morning.
Missoula City-County Health Department Director Ellen Leahy tells MTN News that 10 additional whooping cough cases were confirmed on Tuesday.
The total number of confirmed Missoula County cases now stands at 24.
Leahy told MTN News on Tuesday that the number of people considered to be “close contact” cases has also risen from 300 to nearly 500.
A confirmed whooping cough case has also been confirmed in the Florence Carlton School District.
