KALISPELL — A familiar face in the Flathead Valley was announced as the new Kalispell School District superintendent.
The Board of Trustees approved Micah Hill Wednesday night to replace retiring superintendent Mark Flatau.
Hill is currently the principal at Glacier High School and was previously an assistant principal at the school for 11 years.
He’s a graduate of Polson High School and is seeking his superintendent’s endorsement through the University of Montana.
Hill already has goals in place as he transitions into his new role.
“Obviously financial stability for our district being one of the t goals but also just a long-range strategic plan for guiding student improvement and achievement and facilities, are always on that list as well,” Hill told MTN News.
Hill’s first day as superintendent will be on July 1.
