MISSOULA – A fire sparked in a mobile home while crews attempted to move the trailer which had been ripped from its foundation by flood waters in Missoula last week.
Missoula County Communications Director Anne Hughes says the fire ignited in the mobile home off Schmidt Lane shortly after 5 p.m.
Hughes says crews were cutting into the vacant trailers in an attempt to secure a chain to the structure to try and pull it out of the floodwaters when the insulation ignited.
Fire crews were called as a precaution but the fire was extinguished quickly.
