MISSOULA – Missoula County officials say they are thankful and appreciative for all the donations of sand through this year’s flood season and now the sand is available to anyone.
Team Rubicon, United Way and Missoula area companies helped donate, transport and bag around 100,000 sandbags and now there are about 20,000 left Those 20,000 bags and unbagged sand are located on Fort Missoula near Heritage Hall.
The Missoula County Office of Emergency Management says the quality of the sand ranges from fine grain to coarse road mix and will be available until sometime around July 4th
