MISSOULA – We have an update to a story we reported earlier this week in regards to a Bozeman developer requesting additional Tax Increment Funding for the downtown Marriott hotel.

In a letter to the Missoula Redevelopment Agency Board, Director Ellen Buchanan had told members that the deconstruction/demolition contractors, Home Resources and Crum Excavation, did not bid using state prevailing wage rates as required.

But now in a letter dated July 17 th, Buchanan said the MRA has learned that the original bids were submitted without including state prevailing wage rates at the request of the general contractor, L. Keeley Construction, because the developer, Andrew Holloran had not decided whether they would request TIF for the work in question.
