1 killed, 1 hurt in motorcycle crash on Norris Hill

BOZEMAN – A motorcyclist died in a Monday afternoon fatal crash on Norris Hill.

The Montana Highway Patrol was called to the scene just before 3 p.m. Monday.

Two people were traveling on the motorcycle near mile marker 59 on Highway 287 when the vehicle went off the road and into a ditch.

Both of the occupants were thrown off of the motorcycle.

The driver died at the scene. The passenger was transported to Madison Valley Medical Center with serious but stable injuries.

Both the driver and passenger were wearing helmets. Alcohol is being considered as a factor in the crash.

The Montana Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
