COLUMBUS – A 57-year-old Iowa woman was killed Sunday west of Columbus in a single-vehicle rollover crash.
The crash was reported at 3:10 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 90 west near mile marker 406.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Venture began to exit the road to the left when the woman over-corrected, causing the vehicle to fishtail, collide with a guardrail, and then roll over several times.
The vehicle came to rest on its roof and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. An 80-year-old passenger, also from Fort Dodge, Iowa, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Their names have not been released.
