MISSOULA – This weekend marks the 102nd annual Foresters Ball at the University of Montana and big things are planned to make this one the best yet.
This is a slide year so there will be a slide at this year’s ball and the entrance to the dance has been moved to the east side of the building along Campus Drive. There will also be a beer garden for the third straight year.
The Foresters Ball isn’t just all about the dancing anymore; on Saturday Community Forestry day offers kids and adults the chance to learn more about the forestry department while taking advantage of the slide.
It will be a great weekend for everyone in the Forestry Department at UM and it showcases one of the University’s top departments.
“UM has a really good wildlife bio program too. They help a lot with us too, so not just forestry, but also the other majors in the College of Forestry and the clubs. They are all involved in the construction and the running of the different buildings, so it’s kind of everybody a celebration of all the college of forestry majors,” Foresters Ball spokeswoman Maggie Noriega said.
Tickets for the event are available online and music at the event will be performed by Cash for Junkers. Click here for more info about the event.
