MISSOULA – From asbestos to flooding, employees on the University of Montana campus are dealing with another building-related issue.

The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library was closed Sunday morning after a pipe burst causing substantial water damage in parts of the building.

UM officials say that most of the damage was to the building itself and not to the library materials. Clean up efforts are underway.

Further tests are planned to ensure there are no hazards which means the library will remain closed at least through Tuesday afternoon, according to UM officials.
