BILLINGS- The Billings City Council will consider a proposal Monday to dip into up to $80,000 in reserves for residential snow removal.

The city’s public works department expected to use up all its snow-removal money for residential plowing on March 2, according to a memo from Assistant City Administrator Kevin Iffland.

This weekend, 1″-to-4″ of snow are forecast for Yellowstone County. The city has 740 lane miles of local streets, which have been plowed by contractor FirstMark.

The Billings City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
