BOZEMAN – The roof of the North gym at Montana State University collapsed on Saturday evening, two days after the roof at the South gym caved in.
MSU issued a statement confirming that the event was expected and there were no injuries.
The collapse happened at around 7 p.m. on Saturday. Although MSU officials had said the roof on the North Gym was also likely to fail, they could not predict when it would
happen.
MSU did make efforts in case a collapse did happen by closing down Grant Street which sits just to the north of the building. Utilities were also isolated in the event a collapse were to happen.
