HAMILTON — Ravalli County health officials report they are now seeing three active COVID-19 cases.
Local health officials received confirmation from the state lab on Wednesday afternoon that a possible case is positive.
All three active Ravalli County cases are in isolation and contacts are quarantined. The other cases are now out of isolation.
The health department's Karyn Johnston notes that not all of Ravalli County’s active cases are counted on the state map due to two cases having out of state addresses.
The state tracking map shows there have been 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Bitterroot with just one active case being reported as of June 24.
Johnston adds that "as things are opening up we need to be extra cautious, wear masks and keep the 6 foot social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19."
