HAMILTON — Public health officials in the Bitterroot have launched an online form for residents to register their "Notice of Intent" to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from the Ravalli County Public Health Department.
“This registry is not a ‘waiting list’, however; it will serve as a database that Public Health can reference to make appointments as more vaccine becomes available,” said Ravalli County Public Health director Tiffany Webber. “Registration is open to all Ravalli County residents, not just those included in the current vaccination phases.”
Webber notes that the health department will be coordinating the information with other community organizations and agencies to ensure that those residents who are elderly, homebound are not overlooked and are able to receive the vaccine.
The registry is only for those who wish to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from Public Health. Webber also noted that other local providers each have their own method of registering for an appointment.
Webber says that submitting the information does not guarantee an appointment within a particular timeframe. “Additionally, Ravalli County Public Health will not guarantee appointments in any particular order with respect to the time of submission,” Webber said.
Residents can visit the Ravalli County website to register a Notice of Intent to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
