HARDIN — Big Horn County officials announced Wednesday the county's 67th COVD-19-related death.
The decedent was a man in his 70s who died Monday in a hospital.
It was the fourth COVID-related death in January.
The county’s total COVID fatality rate is 3% (67 deaths out of 2,238 total cases).
But for people 70 and older, the fatality rate rises to 20% (38 deaths out of 187 total cases).
Big Horn County reported two new cases Wednesday to bring its total to 2,238.
The county has 47 active cases and 2,125 recoveries.
