PABLO — The Confederated Salish and Kootenai (CSKT) Tribal Council has officially declared a State of Emergency due to the global outbreak of coronavirus.

Tribal officials also announced a partial activation of the CSKT Emergency Operations Center in a news release on Tuesday.

CSKT has also instituted a government-wide partial-shutdown that will remain in effect through March 27.

Essential services are continuing with emphasis on protecting individuals who are most at-risk due to age, respiratory, or compromised immune systems.

Travel restrictions remain in place for all tribal programs, affiliates and corporations.
