MISSOULA — The Missoula Family YMCA and Missoula County Public Schools are teaming up to provide day care for healthcare workers and their families.
The emergency childcare is available for parents in critically necessary jobs which the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) defines as first responders and hospital workers.
The childcare will be available at Russell Elementary School on South Russell Street.
"We're gonna try to meet the needs of childcare so we can keep Missoula running as much as we can,” Missoula YMCA Chief Operating Officer Keri McHugh said. “The Y will be here when this is all over. We're looking forward to helping the community in any way we can."
McHugh told MTN News that, especially now, childcare is a need they are happy to provide.
