Missoula Co. reports 24 new cases, 3 additional COVID-19 related deaths

MISSOULA — The Monday update from the Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) is reporting that three additional COVID-19 related deaths have been confirmed.

An additional 24 confirmed COVID-19 cases have also been recorded since the Monday update.

The number of active COVID-19 cases has fallen from 261 on Monday to 242.

The number of confirmed cases in Missoula County stands at 7,543 including 7,223 recoveries and 78 deaths.

There currently 11 COVID-19 related hospitalizations including six county residents.

The average of daily new cases per 100,000 has fallen from 35 on Monday to 33.

The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.

The Board of Health announced on Jan. 21 that there will be an easing of several of the COVID-19 restrictions in place for Missoula County.

Missoula County Public Schools released details for moving into the second phase of its reopening plan on Jan. 18.

Missoula County health officials announced on Jan. 14 that plans are in place to move to Phase 1B of COVID-19 vaccinations.
