Missoula County reports 13 new COVID-19 cases

MISSOULA — The Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) is reporting that 13 additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed since the Thursday update.

The number of active COVID-19 cases has dropped from 182 on Thursday to 164.

The total number of confirmed cases in Missoula County stands at 7,946 including 7,700 recoveries and 82 deaths.

The number of COVID-19 related hospitalizations is at 13 and includes six Missoula County residents.

The average of daily new cases per 100,000 has dipped to 17. The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.

MCCHD announced on Feb. 11 that the countywide mask mandate will remain in effect even after the statewide mandate ending on Feb. 12.

The Board of Health announced on Jan. 21 that there will be an easing of several of the COVID-19 restrictions in place for Missoula County.
