MISSOULA — The Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) is reporting that 26 additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed since the Tuesday update.
The number of active COVID-19 cases has risen from 132 on Tuesday to 143.
The total number of confirmed cases in Missoula County currently stands at 8,036 including 7,811 recoveries and 82 deaths.
The number of COVID-19 related hospitalizations is not available in the Tuesday update.
The average of daily new cases per 100,000 has dipped to 16. The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.
The number of COVID-19 vaccines administered stands at 20,245 and 6,063 people are fully immunized, according to the Montana COVID-19 tracking website.
MCCHD is seeking public input ahead of the Feb. 18 meeting where revisions to current COVID-19 rules will be considered.
MCCHD announced on Feb. 11 that the countywide mask mandate will remain in effect even after the statewide mandate ending on Feb. 12.

The Board of Health announced on Jan. 21 that there will be an easing of several of the COVID-19 restrictions in place for Missoula County.
