HELENA — The Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map shows the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Treasure State remains at 479.
Tuesday's data shows the total number of cases in the state is unchanged at 478. The state tracking map is reporting 479 cases because of a case is attributed to Jefferson County.
Jefferson County health officials previously reported that the case involved a man in his 50’s who has not been in the state for several weeks. The case was not acquired in Montana and the man has not been in contact with anyone in Montana.
To date, 440 Montana residents have recovered from COVID-19. There are currently three people hospitalized and a total of 33,834 tests have been completed, according to the state tracking map. There are currently 22 active COVID-19 cases in Montana.
Local health officials reported a COVID-19 related death of an elderly Yellowstone County woman on Tuesday morning. That death has not been updated on the tracking map. There have now been 17 COVID-19 related deaths to date in Montana.

Governor Steve Bullock announced on May 18 that Montana will enter the next stage of the phased re-opening plan on June 1. Also beginning on June 1, the 14-day out-of-state travel quarantine will be lifted.
