An individual from out of state has tested positive for COVID-19 in Lake County this week according to a press release from the county.
This person, who has not been in Lake County very long on work-related travel, has had limited interactions in the community. A Lake County public health nurse has interviewed the person and is following up with those who had close contact.
The individual is in isolation and will be returning to their home in a different state on Friday. They will not be using public transportation on their return.
To protect the patient’s privacy, no other information was provided on the individual. Health officials have concluded that this case should not raise undue alarm in the community. The county added that this is not considered a Lake County case and will not be factored into its case count. The individual will be counted in their home jurisdiction.
