Plains High School will be moving to remote learning from Dec. 7 through Dec. 10 due to a recent COVID-19 case at the school.
District Superintendent Thom Chisholm said in an email that the decision was made due to a large number of students who would be considered close contacts with the positive case, along with those already receiving their education online.
Grades 9-12 will return to in-person learning on Dec. 14. Kindergarten through 8th-grade students will have classes as normal.
High school students can pick up meals on a grab-and-go basis next week in the Plains Gymnasium lobby.
Students will be allowed to pick up any needed materials or Chromebooks on Monday, Dec. 7.
Winter sports practices will continue as scheduled.
