HAMILTON — An additional 92 confirmed COVID-19 cases are being reported in the Bitterroot. Friday's numbers mark a single-day record for coronavirus cases in Ravalli County.

Ravalli County Public Health is also reporting the number of active cases has jumped to a total of 669. Additionally, there are 121 COVID-19 tests still awaiting a laboratory review.

Ravalli County Public Health Director Tiffany Webber said in the latest update that the county is seeing community spread of COVID-19 and that "public health resources are overwhelmed," due to the number of cases being seen.

Webber is also asking residents to follow the recommended guidelines listed below to reduce the risk of exposure.

  • Wear a mask when in public
  • Maintain the 6’ distance
  • Keep your cohort circle small
  • Frequently wash your hands and use hand sanitizer when washing is not available

People who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to follow the below guidelines:

  • Please isolate at home away from others in your household
  • Notify any close contacts that may have been exposed
  • Close contact instructions can be found at the Ravalli County website
  • You may return to normal activities 10 days from when symptoms began, provided symptoms have improved with no new symptoms and no fever in 24 hours.

"Public Health needs your help! Be an ambassador for health. Be a voice of support for that friend or neighbor in need," Webber said.
