HAMILTON — Now that Ravalli County's website for COVID-19 vaccine registration is live, the Health Department is asking residents to help those without computer skills and access to sign-up.
Ravalli County's registration system went live Monday, allowing people to sign-up for COVID shots as the vaccines become available in the coming weeks and months.
The system isn't a "waiting list", but gives nurses a way to contact people and make appointments when vaccines are ready. The site is for people who want to get their shots from public health, not local pharmacies or other providers. It includes links for each category of residents.
The system is easy to use. But Health Department Director Tiffany Webber is encouraging people to assist the elderly, and those without Internet access, to complete registration.
"And so what we're asking is that, if you have elderly family or friends, or say church groups could, you know, get together and if there's people in their church that need help getting signed up we're asking them to please help them do that," Webber said.
"Rather than call me and say 'this process doesn't work, this is broken because of this.' Help, help me, help me help them get that information so that we can get those people taken care of," Webber added.
The county will be using the information to coordinate with all community organizations and agencies to make sure anyone wanting to be vaccinated won't be overlooked.
