MISSOULA — One person was taken to the hospital Friday evening after a shooting near the El Mar Estates just off of Mullan Road.
Deputies with the Missoula County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a disturbance with a firearm around 7 p.m. The MCSO reports one person had a single gunshot wound and is currently in stable condition.
A suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the public. The Missoula Rural Fire Department, Missoula Emergency Services and Montana Highway Patrol all provided assistance in the incident.
