KALISPELL – The Montana Raceway Park in Kalispell is asking for your help after their raceway track was found vandalized.

The Montana Raceway Park has been a staple in the community since 1990, hosting races and monster truck rallies during the summer.

Montana Raceway Park General Manager Giles Thornton tells us that on the night of Feb. 5, the park’s scoreboard cords were intentionally weakened and the locks of two of the main gates were cut. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was called and following their investigation confirmed that the act was of malicious intent.

Thorton says it is shocking that an act like this occurred in the community.

“It’s Kalispell Montana. It’s the Flathead Valley. This sort of thing has never really happened, never really happened to the racetrack. Never,” Thornton said.

The track is asking for anyone’s help identifying who committed this crime, and is offering $2,500 as a reward.

If you have any information please visit their Facebook page or call 406-257-7223.
