POLSON – A woman is facing charges after being accused of embezzling over $59,000 from the Saint Ignatius Firefighters Auxiliary Board.
Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says the suspect in the case is Annie Morigeau, 33, of Saint Ignatius.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Saint Ignatius Police Department in the felony theft and forgery case, according to Sheriff Bell.
Morigeau was arrested Monday afternoon in the Saint Ignatius area on a warrant issued by Lake County District Court in Polson.
Morigeau was the secretary for the auxiliary board which operates off of donations and auctions from the community
Sheriff Bell notes in a news release that the auxiliary board operates separately from the local fire department.
