UPDATE: 12:44 p.m. - November 14, 2024
Billings police said the early morning shooting outside a Billings bar involved gunfire from at least two people, including a bystander.
Lt. Matt Lennick said in a press release the shooting in the parking lot of the Reno Club off Calhoun Lane started with a verbal argument.
During the argument, a 46-year-old man "pulled a firearm and began shooting at a 38-year-old male and a 42-year-old female striking them both," the press release states.
The injured woman pulled a firearm and "attempted to return fire," the press release states, when a 25-year-old man described as a "bystander" who was not initially involved in the argument "pulled a firearm and fatally shot the 46-year-old male."
Lennick said the investigation was ongoing and no arrests had been made.
