PABLO — One person was flown to a Missoula hospital following a Tuesday evening shooting in Pablo.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says deputies responded to the report of a shooting in an alley behind a bar at approximately 9:45 p.m.

It was reported that a disturbance had taken place where a resident from a house adjacent to the alleyway had a knife pulled on him by another male.

The resident then shot the male with the knife, according to a news release.

The man who was shot was transported to a local hospital and later flown to a hospital in Missoula.

Sheriff Bell says the male who fired the shot has cooperated with the investigation and was released following a preliminary investigation.

Lake County Sheriff's Office detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.

The Ronan Police Department and Flathead Tribal Police also responded to the scene.
