HAMILTON — Ravalli County commissioners will consider a recommendation to have all voting done through the mail.

Following Gov. Steve Bullock's decision last week allowing counties the option of conducting the General Election without polling places, local counties are considering whether to repeat the system that was used successfully in the Primary Election in June.

Ravalli County Elections Administrator Regina Plettenburg has told MTN News she's recommending county commissioners adopt vote-by-mail, with "in-person options" for people to pick up replacement ballots and use drop boxes in November.

Plettenburg will explain how the system will work and answer questions at a public meeting at the First Interstate Building at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds Monday, Aug. 17 at 5:30 p.m.

Missoula and Lewis and Clark counties announced earlier this week that they will be conducting mail ballot elections.
