BILLINGS — Regular voter registration will close in Yellowstone County at 5 p.m. Monday, if voters are looking to register past that date, they'll have to do it in person at the county elections office.

Voters who have yet to register by the Monday deadline will have to take their voter registration form to the county elections office in person to receive a ballot. Voters who have their registration form in before the Monday deadline will be automatically mailed a ballot through the postal service.

The voter application form can be printed and filled out at home or a voter can pick one up at the county elections office. To print the form at home, visit the Montana Secretary of State's website by clicking here.

Mail ballots should be in the post by Tuesday, Oct. 27 to give enough time for them to arrive at the elections office. If mail voters still have their ballots past that date, they should be taken in-person to the county elections office for them to be counted.

Late registration runs from Oct. 27 at 7 a.m. through election day on Nov. 3. Late registration is open on election day in Yellowstone County from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at either county election office location. If a voter waits to register until election day, there's a good chance they will have to spend some time waiting in line.
