According to a Facebook post by the Lolo National Forest, firefighters are on scene responding to a new fire near Cliff Lake on the Superior Ranger District.
The fire size is .10 acres and is burning in duff and brush on steep, rocky terrain.
Firefighters will be supported by a helicopter with bucket drops.
The cause of the fire is a lightning holdover.
Cliff Lake is approximately 12 miles south of St. Regis near the MT/ID border.
