MISSOULA — Local fire officials have determined what sparked a Thursday wildfire on Mount Sentinel.
The Missoula City Fire Department says investigators have determined that the fire was human-caused. However, the blaze is still being investigated.
Missoula Fire Department, Montana DNRC, and US Forest Service crews remained on the scene of the 25-acre wildland fire that climbed Mount Sentinel to monitor for restarts and scope the area.
The "M" Trail was reopened to the public on Friday morning, however, the remainder of the mountain remains closed.
