KALISPELL – Authorities are looking for information in connection with a hit-and-run accident in Kalispell.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports the incident happened sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Sunday and 8 a.m. on Monday in the 800 block of Smith Lake Road.
Authorities say that the hit vehicle had slid off the road and blew a tire. The teen driver parked as far off the road as she thought she could, but was still partially in the roadway, according to MHP.
A white pickup or SUV slid on the same corner and rear-ended the vehicle leaving behind a couple of parts before the driver fled the scene.
The parts look like wheel trim from a white Toyota, possibly from the passenger side. Also left behind at the scene was a round driving light and tinted wind deflector.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Montana Highway Patrol at 855-MHP-3777.
