KALISPELL – Congressman Greg Gianforte (R-MT) visited Kalispell on Monday to answer questions from teacher Brian Fox’s middle school class.
Fox — who has brought in a different representative to his class since 2012 — told MTN News that he aims to make history accessible and relatable to his students.
Rep. Gianforte spoke with Fox’s class about how his role in how Congress works.
Students were particularly interested in what Rep. Gianforte’s day is like — and how long it takes to pass bills in Congress.
While Rep. Gianforte told the students that he enjoys his time in Washington DC, he added that it’s always nice to come home to Montana.
“I come back to Kalispell, almost every month as various events come up. So, it’s always a pleasure to travel here and I made a commitment when I got elected that I would…[travel] the state. And I’ll continue to do that,” Rep. Gianforte said.
The Republican’s time in Montana was short as he was back on a plane heading back to Washington, DC on Monday afternoon.
