GLACIER NATIONAL PARK – As of Wednesday, May 22, Glacier National Park plow crews were two miles away from Logan Pass.
Each year, plows crews start on the west and east side of the park and plow towards Logan Pass. According to the park’s website, the west side crews have plowed to Rimrocks and the east side crews have plowed to Siyeh Bend.
The park reminds visitors of the earliest date the upper part of Going to the Sun Road will open to vehicle traffic is June 22.
According to the park, the latest sun road ever opened was in 2011, when the road didn’t open until July 13.
