MISSOULA — The Downtown Missoula Partnership is encouraging the community to support locally-owned food and beverage businesses with a new campaign.

The first-ever Downtown Dine Local Week begins Monday and ends on Sunday, Jan. 31.

The public can sample what Missoula has to offer with specials at more than two dozen local establishments, and there are prizes as well.

Social media engagement with the campaign is awarded with an opportunity to win a gift basket valued at more than $300.

Downtown Missoula Partnership's Director of Marketing and Events Kristen Sackett said this time of year is a traditionally slow season, but the COVID-19 pandemic has placed an ongoing financial strain on businesses.

"We want to make sure that every business remains viable, you know, during these challenging months coming up," Sackett said.

The promotional week's theme is "feed your soul and fuel your neighborhood."

"It all has dual meaning to it. You know, give yourself some fuel, get yourself some good food and feel good about what you're doing," Sackett said. "You're putting your money where your heart is."

To check out the featured specials, visit the Downtown Missoula Partnership website here. You can also call (406) 542-4238 or email info@missouladowntown.com.
