BIGFORK — A big crowd is expected in Bigfork Saturday to sample different beers from across the state.
The 11th annual Bigfork Brewfest will feature more than 30 breweries, ciders and kombucha. The event is held at Wayfarers State Park on Flathead Lake for the first time and along with tasty beverages, local food vendors and live music will also be showcased.
All proceeds from the event benefit local non-profit organizations in the Bigfork area. Bigfork Brewfest organizer Darcie Fast said last year’s event raised close to $10,000 an that money can go a long way in helping organizations in need.
“So, it’s little things like that, that we really like to support, and ACES After School is a great program for kids that we love to support, there's a lot of organizations in this town that make stuff happen so we’re always trying to work with the chamber and Community Foundation for a Better Bigfork and places like that,” said Fast.
To combat drinking and driving a $5 shuttle will pick-up event goers from different locations in the Flathead Valley. Those pick-up locations can be found online.
