Flathead Valley residents started a stuffed bear hunt for a fun way for families to practice social distancing during the Coronavirus.

Joleen Beaubien told MTN that she organized the event to bring joy to families while practicing social distancing.

She says those participating should place a stuffed bear in their window.

That way, as people drive or walk around their neighborhood they can see a stuffed bear.

"If we do have to get out and about, our kids can go on a bear hunt," said Beaubien. "And do something different and do something fun. And it's easy and it's free. It doesn't have to be a bear, it can be a stuffed pig."

Beaubien explained to MTN that when her family went bear hunting they saw fifteen bears.

The next thing she wants to do is take pictures of the bears and send them to first responders, to say thank you.
