KALISPELL — The second annual Frosty the Brewfest gets underway Saturday in downtown Kalispell showcasing live music and local craft breweries.

Kalispell Brewing Company spokeswoman Amber Hogan says last year's event saw more than 1,000 visitors and raised close to $17,000. The proceeds this year will be given to the Kalispell Downtown Association and the Abbie Shelter.

"We decided to just pick a non-profit that we care about and we think is good in this area, so the Abbie Shelter was an obvious choice for all of us," said Hogan.

The Abbie Shelter is the primary service provider for victims of domestic and sexual violence in the Flathead Valley.

Bias Brewing, SunRift Beer Company, Sacred Waters Brewing Company, Kalispell Brewing Company and the Flathead Valley Community College Brewing Academy of Montana will all be pouring their brews.

The event runs from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Valley Bank Parking in downtown Kalispell. Tickets cost $20 and include four 6-ounce drink tickets. Click here for more information.
