FLORENCE — The Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) responded to a crash Friday night that left one woman dead.

The MHP reports the driver of a 2018 Toyota Four Runner was traveling northbound on US Highway 93 north of Florence a little after 5 p.m. on Friday.

The driver slowed to turn left into a private driveway around mile marker 76 when she was rear-ended by a 2006 GMC Yukon which pushed her into oncoming southbound traffic.

The Four Runner was then struck by a Toyota RAV4, and the Yukon struck by a Dodge truck.

The driver of the Four Runner, a 61-year-old Florence woman, was pronounced dead on scene, according to MHP.

The drivers of the Yukon and RAV4 were both transported to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, and the driver of the Dodge checked out independently at Community Medical Center.

The incident is still under investigation at this time.
