There is a new women-focused hiking group in Helena.
The so-called "Helena Hiker Babes" group is looking for official recognition from Hiker Babes International. They are a group of woman-focused individuals who share a passion for the outdoors.
Sarah Keppen recently moved to Helena from South Dakota and couldn’t find a hiking group. She decided to start this group in hopes to gather women in the community.
“For me, it’s just great because I know there are women like myself who don't necessarily have a tribe to go hiking with. It’s a chance to meet more women that you wouldn't get to otherwise,” says Keppen.
