MISSOULA — There was some record breaking snowfall on Sunday and Missoulians were out and about, having some fun.

Missoula resident Holly Silk brought her two boys to Bonner Park, and while she didn't love the snow, because the boys are outside she was too.

"Well, they just keep going outside, and it makes me get outside." Silk told MTN News that she hopes the snow doesn’t stick for too long, "it makes me sad. I love fall.”

Sunday also broke another record in Missoula -- the high temperature for the day was the lowest it's ever been -- less than 40 degrees.

Other Missoula residents were happy to see the first snowfall.

Siblings Sam and June say this was their puppies first time in snow, and he seems to be enjoying it.
After their trip to the park, they planned to warm up at home, with hot cocoa.

“My mom hated it, but I was so happy.”

The snow isn’t supposed to last for much longer, but we could be entering into record breaking cold temperatures, and possible icy roadways later in the week.
